Problem even with that is you can boot from it then. The only thing out ATM that will allow them to be put in a raid 0 array and the speed realized is on an X99 mounted on a PCIe M2 adaptor and using pipelines going straight to the CPU. Those went from 500MB/s to 1000MB/s just as expected. I did however put two 850 evos in raid 0 and they are working great but then again SATA SSDs do not approach the limitations of the DMI link. You dont get anywher near the theoretical values you would expect. Ive already done it on a Z170 and Z270 as well as a G752VY notebook. So long as they are behind the PCH controller they will be bottlenecked. Very small gain in sequential read, a little more in sequential writes but the 4K becomes horrendous. Putting M2 drives in raid 0 on your board is a waste of time. Even their own OEM drives wont allow the drivers or software to work, must be consumer versions. In the end it really doesnt matter as its been demonstrated time and again that there is no dicernable gain from using Samsung drivers and Magician does nothing but allow firmware updates with the software. This has been a Samsung short coming for a long time. If you have raid enabled the Samsung drivers nor magician will work.
